RADAR at 3PM ? Rain still steady across Dallas and Collin County and areas to the south.? Strongest storms remain from Hillsboro southward.? Rain was tapering off in Tarrant County and we will have several hours of dry weather late this afternoon into the evening especially from Fort Worth westward.
?
SEVERE THREAT ? for the next several hours the?only severe threat will be for areas south of a line from Corsicana to Athens to Tyler.? Storms out west could also be severe as they move into our western counties after 6pm.
SOME SUN WEST OF FORT WORTH
At 3pm some sunshine was breaking out west of Fort Worth.
?
MORE STORMS WEST
More storms were developing along a dry line and cold front west of Abilene up to?near Wichita?Falls.
?
We will have to watch those storms later this evening as they will be moving southeast toward DFW.? They are having a tough time advancing to far east as the atmosphere is stabilizing behind our large area of rain that is with us now.
BOTTOM LINE
Large area of rain from Dallas to the south and east will continue to move east.? We dry out for the late afternoon and evening hours for parts of the Metroplex especially the west side.? We will have to watch storms out west to see if they can hold together and bring us another chance of rain this evening.? Chances are not great they will, but need to be watched.
